A lecture on basic algebraic number theory for Group 3.
Math + Science Club has three math tracks.
- Group 1 is for 5–6th graders or students with little competition math experience. Recent topics include rates, divisibility, exponents, combinations and permutations, and quadratics.
- Group 2 is for 7–8th graders. Recent topics include sequences and series, polynomial interpolation, states, mass points, and coordinate bashing.
- Group 3 is for 9–10th graders and volunteers. Recent topics include cyclotomic polynomials, exponential generating functions and combinatorial classes, finite differences, orders modulo a prime, and complex bashing.
