Math + Science Club

Introduction

Math + Science Club is a student-run 501(c)3 non-profit organization to increase students' interest in competition math and science.

Since Math + Science Club's first meeting in summer 2023, we've attracted over 100 students from more than 20 schools across the Twin Cities area. Our weekly club meetings are designed primarily for middle and high school students, with featuring math, physics, and computer science lectures and science bowl practice.  Additionally, we've organized events such as scientist roundtables, tournaments, STEM parties, and student panels.

Testimonials

"Although math and science can sometimes be an intimidating area for many kids, Michael has created a space where ALL kids feel safe to share, learn and compete. It was wonderful seeing kids learn from each other and gain confidence from sharing their knowledge in that group setting."

"Thank you to all the brilliant high schoolers who came to share their experiences with the kids (& parents). It was so inspiring for my young daughter to see so many bright girls speak positively about school, using time wisely, prioritizing sleep, minimizing distractions, finding positive friend groups. I know she felt inspired. I appreciated the messages to the parents - I feel inspired to be better too."

"Michael has a great sense of humor which helps keep us relaxed, and it also helps that he is a hard worker and leads by example. He always listens to his students, and makes sure their ideas are valued. "
