Math + Science Club

Introduction

Math + Science Club is a student-run 501(c)3 non-profit organization promoting competition math and science, leadership, and collaboration.

Since its establishment in summer 2023, we've attracted over 100 students from more than 20 schools across the Twin Cities area. Our weekly club meetings are designed primarily for middle and high school students, with each meeting featuring a math lecture, science bowl, physics bowl, computer science, or machine learning sessions.  Additionally, we frequently organize events such as scientist roundtables, tournaments, and student panels.

Math + Science Club is in-person on Sundays from 1:30 to 4:30 pm at Ridgedale Library. If you are interested, please join our mailing list by emailing mathscienceclub.mn@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can learn more about our activities by visiting one of our meetings for free!

Testimonials

"Michael has a great sense of humor which helps keep us relaxed, and it also helps that he is a hard worker and leads by example. He always listens to his students, and makes sure their ideas are valued. "

"Good"

"Although math and science can sometimes be an intimidating area for many kids, Michael has created a space where ALL kids feel safe to share, learn and compete. It was wonderful seeing kids learn from each other and gain confidence from sharing their knowledge in that group setting."

"it was decent"

"Thank you to all the brilliant high schoolers who came to share their experiences with the kids (& parents). It was so inspiring for my young daughter to see so many bright girls speak positively about school, using time wisely, prioritizing sleep, minimizing distractions, finding positive friend groups. I know she felt inspired. I appreciated the messages to the parents - I feel inspired to be better too."
